There is a particular feeling in the air, the fresh breeze smells of summer, of promises… and with this time of the year, plus the hot temperatures, comes the season of grilling, of picnic and of outdoor eating. 

One of the unique things of the German summer is the Biergarten. This word encompasses a bunch of interesting concepts. It is mainly an outside restaurant in nature, tables scattered under trees that provide shadow and the green background. You can sit and enjoy beer and food. The food can be purchased from the kitchen (most likely than not, it is very tasty) or you can bring your own. The only request is that you purchase what you are going to drink at the premises. 

Interesting is how a Biergarten can become a place to come in contact with different kinds of people. Normally you seat wherever you find a free spot. This principle brings strangers together, and nice “encounters” can occur. In our current situation there is the implementation of safe distance between not so big tables, but the atmosphere is the same. It doesn’t matter if it is a simple or a gourmet Biergarten, if you happen to be in Germany during the summer, try as many as you possibly can, and I can promise you, you will have a good time and lots of fun.
