What changed?

What are we looking for?

Things can change in an instant. Looking back, that is what happened with the spread of the COVID-19 virus last year. All of a sudden we had to change our daily routines, stay at home and start working from there, limit our contact with family, friends and colleagues. We had to give up using the public space, no more concerts, museum visits, or going to restaurants or bars.

As a reaction to this new situation, our screen time exploded: we learned how to ZOOM, meet through SKYPE, have the essentials delivered to our houses using apps, use streaming services. With this extra time, some of us started working on our kitchen crafts. For this purpose,  what has boomed, are the virtual cooking classes and courses. Different platforms offer ways to meet online, cook, and at the end everybody eats what they prepared together; they even send the ingredients you need to cook. There are also the courses with lectures and exercise, that are discussed together and then applied. An effect of this is the explosion of cooking videos and photos and recipe websites and blogs.

Another thing that has changed is the use of delivery apps for food, now you can order almost anything that you crave for, and it will come to you well-packed and ready to be eaten. Some of these changes will stay with us as we prepare for our new reality. We have to consider what we can use for our advantage. Which or these changes are contributing towards our benefit and which ones are not?
