Bread

Just delicious!

Sustenance is what we need to eat and drink in order to stay alive and healthy. Bread is, for many, the foundation of nourishment. Flour, water, and salt going through a fermentation process are the three ingredients that, combined, constitute what we call bread. A small piece of deliciousness that is baked, a transformation from rough material, into a soft floury inside and a crunchy crust. Cultures all over the world produce one type of bread, some of which even giving nations an identity. 

Bread is important in many aspects of our lives. It has a symbolic meaning for religion; it is also an economic force, but it mainly fulfills the need to calm hunger, and it gives comfort. Even the great Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra said “All sorrows are less with bread”. From a brioche, to a pita bread, to pumpernickel, going through croissants and ciabattas, there is one type of bread that makes us happy. Dear reader, which one is your favorite?
